The Benjamin Gilman Scholarship program is the reason I am able to accomplish my dream of teaching in South Africa. Their outstanding contribution, with the combination of another scholarship, funded the entire trip. I could never feel more honored to have been selected as one of the many recipients of this scholarship. The Gilman program not only made a financial contribution to my trip, they also made an emotional contribution. They have made me one of the most fortunate college students in the country!
